The cost of education remains a significant financial challenge for many families. Seemingly small increases can add up over decades, especially with several years of static or declining wages.

Tuition fees
If you are a new student from the USA and plan to start your studies in 2025-2026 or later, your tuition fees are likely to be in line with the international rate. Read more about our fees here.

Additional costs
Some programs also involve additional costs, for example studying abroad or compulsory field courses. You should make sure you are aware of these costs early on in your application process. Check our degree finder for information on any additional costs for your chosen program. You can speak to staff in our admissions offices for more details.

1. Complete Your Financial Aid Application

It is important to submit your financial aid application each academic year, even if you think you may not qualify.
Universities use the information you provide to determine your eligibility for scholarships, grants, discounts, or available financial support programs.
Submitting early increases your chances, as some funding is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Review Your Financial Assessment Report

Once your application is submitted, you will receive a Financial Assessment Report summarizing your information and indicating the level of support you may be eligible for.
If your financial need meets the university’s criteria, you may qualify for partial or full support depending on availability.

3. Receive Your Acceptance Letter

You will receive your official acceptance letter from Athar International University, confirming your admission into your chosen program.

4. Submit Any Required Supporting Documents

Depending on your situation, you may be asked to provide additional documentation such as:

  • Proof of income

  • Identification documents

  • Academic records

  • Any required financial forms for scholarship consideration

Providing complete and accurate documents will speed up the processing of your financial aid.

5. Receive Your Financial Aid Decision Letter

Your financial aid decision will be sent to you via email.
This letter will outline any scholarships, discounts, payment plans, or support options you have been awarded.

6. Accept Your Financial Aid Offer

You may be asked to log into your student portal and formally accept or decline the awards offered to you.

7. What to Expect During the Process

Once admitted to Athar International University, your financial support package may include:

  • Scholarships

  • Grants

  • Tuition discounts

  • Payment plans

  • Work-study or student support opportunities (if available)

You will receive full instructions about deadlines, payments, and any next steps after accepting your offer.

Yes. You will need to submit a separate application in addition to required materials and an application fee for each program you would like to apply to. You will also have to send a separate portfolio, or schedule an audition if required, for each of those applications. If you are accepted to more than one program at Athar, you will then have to choose one program as your major.

Financial aid and scholarship opportunities vary depending on a student’s residency status.
International students are eligible to apply for institutional scholarships and grants, but these funds are limited and highly competitive.
Scholarships offered by Athar International University do not cover the full cost of tuition; instead, awards are granted based on academic merit and available funding.

BFA degrees typically take four years to complete, while MFA/MA programs vary from two to three years. The Performer-Composer DMA Program is three years.

The notification period for the admission decision will be approximately March 1 through early April for students that applied by the regular deadline. There may be cases, however, where the decision will come earlier or take longer. We send decision letters out at different times, depending on each program’s review schedule and when required materials for the student’s file are received. There is no significance attached to receiving your notification earlier or later than other students that have applied.
